This is a double IPA brewed with extra pale malt only. Hopped with Galaxy, Strata and Idaho-7 hot side, and dry hopped with Idaho-7, Strata and a pinch of Sabro. Orange, pineapple and peach vibes.
A DIPA mostly in our house style. We usually keep the grain recipe simple on DIPAs. This beer uses 100% base malt which we get from Crisp Malt, based in Norfolk. Home of the finest English malting barley. The flavour from the malt is fairly neutral with some subtle cereal sweetness. One of the aims of this beer is to see if it lightens the body slightly and improves the clarity of flavour. It is whirlpool hopped with Idaho 7 and Strata and dry hopped with Idaho 7, Strata and a pinch of Sabro. The idea of this hop combination is to achieve juicy sweet citrus fruit and pineapple aroma. Sabro is a very characterful hop, often giving coconut aroma and flavour. When used in small amounts we find it really helps lift the tropical fruit aromas and flavours. Sometimes less is more, mind.
